Faculty & Guest Speakers

Dr. Thigpen is licensed Doctor of Chiropractic, a natural medicine practitioner (PScD), and business owner. As an instructor for The Woodlands School of Massage Therapy, Dr. Thigpen occasionally lectures on topics such as anatomy, physiology, pathology, and the nervous system.

Gloria McCarty studied and received her license from Mesilla Valley of Therapeutic Arts. Her studies and 28 years experience in the field of massage therapy include Neuromuscular Therapy, Study of Ayurveda, Sports Massage, and Thai Massage. Working with The Orthopedic Group in El Paso, Texas, along with being self employed, allowed her to build a strong hands-on foundation, honing her diverse experience before moving on to teaching and sharing her knowledge. She has been an Instructor for over a decade dedicating herself to helping her students be the best they can be at their vocation, opening doors to long lasting and promising careers, and changing lives through massage therapy.

Stephanie Friedersdorff is a graduate of the Louisiana Institute of Massage Therapy. As an instructor, Stephanie is licensed to teach a complete 500 hour course and has a passion for educating future massage therapists. Outside of class, Stephanie assists the school director with writing and maintaining educational materials for class curriculum.
